Open Road Films sets release date for ToonBox Entertainment’s The Nut Job 2.
The Nut Job 2 received a r
elease date from Open Road Films recently. The sequel to the 2014 animated feature, The Nut Job will hit theatres on May 19, 2017. The Nut Job 2 currently stars Will Arnett as Surly Squirrell, who bands together with his animal friends to save their home from an evil mayor who decides to bulldoze Liberty Park and build a dangerous amusement park.
The film’s cast also includes Katherine Heigl (Grey’s Anatomy) and Maya Rudolph (Bridesmaids). The film is also directed by Cal Brunker (Escape from Planet Earth), who co-wrote the script with Bob Barlen (Escape from Planet Earth) and Scott Bindley (Madison).
