SPARK DIRECTOR AARON WOODLEY FEATURED IN YAHOO!

In a recent interview, ToonBox Entertainment’s very own Spark director, Aaron Woodley discussed the prospects of animated feature films in Canada. Spark will be opening on April 22nd, 2016 at the Toronto Animation Arts Festival International. In light of ToonBox Entertainment’s completed film, Woodley provides Canadians and the entire world his insight to Canadian film making in animation.

Woodley who has also worked as an animator and is the nephew of acclaimed filmmaker David Cronenberg says, “There’s reCaptureally a handful of directors in this country right now who have made animated features, and that is going to change very soon.”

Aaron Woodley wrote and directed the film Spark, an epic space tale featuring the voices of Jessica Biel, Hilary Swank, Patrick Stewart, Susan Sarandon, and Jace Norman. It follows the tale of a 13-year-old monkey who sets out to confront an evil general who has seized control of Planet Bana and plans to take over the universe. Woodley reflects and states that the he looked to myths and films that he admired while he was growing up like Star Wars and Journey to the West.
